SANTA - This shot was taken Oct 30, 2014 during a pause in the shooting of a promo-video for Holiday Shows produced by the Toy Museum of New York. Unless I am booked in a film or a musical theater show I grow a beard starting Labor Day and book appearances at corporate and private parties as Santa.. Use the contact form in this web site's nav menu for more information. Availability is limited. Note too that I am a trained baritone (range A-G) and can provide an accompanist.
Magic Grandpa - March 2015 - two stills from the reels that are now in post-production for color correction - etc. I'm excited about this short movie. The 10-yr-old boy is a sensational actor and he brought out a lot from me. The reels may be ready for posting here in late July. Use the Contact form if you want to be notified when that happens.

HAT TRICKS - sitcom pilot shot at Brick Haus Gym, Jersey City (June 2014). The pilot is now making media rounds on East and West Coast. My role is of demented father who owns totally dysfunctional sports team (honestly, this was all scripted and cast long before any notorious team owners in the real world started burning up the tabloids; honestly)

MTV COMMERCIAL - Brooklyn, NY (March 2014) - The large format prints that were created during this shoot as a plot element, now line the entrance hall of my apartment. This causes some confusion among visitors who have been known to ask, "is that your wife?" even as my wife is standing next to us. For the record. The photographer is an actor. All other people in the various scenes are all actors. None of us are related.

Bless This Home - a New England Gothic directed by Luke Smithers, shot May, 2016 in a well-preserved 1704 Connecticut farm house. A faith-obsessed father is mentally destroyed by the loss of his wife and the isolation of the farm. His daughter finds Milton, a protective friend living in the woods near the farm.
Betty and Mortie - a brief musical On Feb 16 2015 I made my New York musical theater debut in a "black box" theater at Times Square as Mortie in a delightful and thoughtful musical written by award-winning composer / author Barbara Blatner and directed by one of NYC's finest Off-Broadway artists Christen Callahan. I was most fortunate in sharing the stage with gracious and talented Susan Nueffer (Betty) whose patience and professionalism helped me with generous support. Here are a few shots courtesy of of a friend William Vizcarra. The black and white is a reminder of how lovely that medium can be.
These two informal photos, November 1, 2017, show me in my hairy mode that becomes Real Beard Santa Joe when I pour into the right costume. See videos, etc at www.RealBeardSantaJoe.com
Here's a Santa headshot taken a few days later.
